The Automotive Technology
Associate in Science Degree is designed to provide the student with the
knowledge and skills needed for employment in the following automotive industry
areas: Engine Repair, Automatic Transmissions/Transaxles Repair, Manual Drive
Trains and Axles Repair, Suspension and Steering Repair, Brakes Repair,
Electrical and Electronics Repair, Heating and Air Conditioning Repair, Engine
Performance Repair, Service Consulting, Service Management, and Parts Control. Diagnose
problems throughout the eight ASE areas in modern automobiles. Repair complex
systems throughout the eight ASE areas in modern automobiles. Perform diagnosis
techniques and proper repair procedures relative to the flat rate time
standard. Identify health and safety hazards and demonstrate proper techniques
and practices associated with the automotive industry.
