Welcome to the Associate of Science Degree (Environmental Science) - Transfer

The Environmental Science degree provides students with a strong and broad scientific foundation to prepare students for transfer into Bachelor's degree programs in Environmental Science or Environmental Studies. A core curriculum helps students develop key skills for applying biological, physical, and chemical principles to the study of the environment and the developing solutions to environmental problems. Examine the impact of humankind on the environment from scientific, sociological, political, and economic viewpoints both locally and globally; analyze scientific evidence regarding how human activities affect ecosystems; address real-world environmental issues by applying methods and concepts learned in the sciences, mathematics, and humanities. You will gain an understanding of environmental problems and obtain the knowledge and skills to begin developing solutions.

Career Path

This transfer degree prepares students to complete Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Science. Students with Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Science can find employment in a wide variety of field in both the public and private sector, including (but not limited to) environmental consulting, environmental education, urban and regional planning, recycling and waste management, hydrology, ecology, etc.

English Language Requirement

Cañada College will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
