The University of Akron’s Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Applied Artificial Intelligence and Information Systems aims to help students balance data, technology and strategy, according to a university news release. It also aims to equip graduates with a technical understanding of AI and how to use it responsibly and effectively. The Applied AI & IS major prepares students to lead in a rapidly evolving field by integrating foundational knowledge of information systems with cutting-edge applications of AI. The program emphasizes the strategic use of data for operational and analytical decision-making. Students will explore how AI transforms industries while gaining hands on experience with Python, Large Language Models and Tableau. The program goes beyond coding and software development by focusing on connecting business applications with applied technical training. Program highlights include machine learning, deep learning, data provisioning and AI-driven decision making, according to the release. Program courses include: Introduction to Applied AI and Information Systems, Data Provision for Applied Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence for Business, and Deep Learning for Business. The program will help students combine classroom knowledge with professional practice through hands-on learning, internships, industry partnerships and real-world projects. Program graduates will be equipped for careers in business intelligence, information technology and systems management, entrepreneurship, and AI-focused roles across industries, according to the release.

If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit
