The Higher Education concentration in the Administration and Supervision program, which is for graduate students currently working or looking to work with technological institutions (TCATs), community colleges, four-year institutions, or other higher education related agencies, is your next step on the path in a career in postsecondary education. There is so much that happens at an institution outside of the classroom and this program can help propel your career.

Career Path

Graduates from the Administration and Supervision program with the higher education concentration may be employed in a variety of positions at universities and community colleges. Examples include, but are not limited to, Enrollment Coordinator, Director of Admissions, Associate Director of Events and Tours, Data and Outreach Coordinator, Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life, Coordinator of Student Life, Athletic Events Coordinator, Residence Hall Director, Academic Advisor, Associate Registrar, Assistant Vice President, University President, Vice President, University faculty and more. MTSU graduates are employed in universities, community colleges, and technology centers in Tennessee and other states

English Language Requirement

Middle Tennessee State University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
