About This Programme

A one semester experience for an international student for either Grade 10 or Grade 11 at the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board would be academically intensive and culturally enriching. In Grade 10, the semester emphasizes specialization and critical analysis, with students engaging in advanced reading comprehension, literary analysis, structured essays, and collaborative oral projects. Mathematics covers algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and data management, while science deepens into biology, chemistry, and physics through lab work and inquiry based projects. Social studies explore Canadian and global history, geography, and civic responsibility, while arts education nurtures creativity in visual arts, music, drama, and dance. In Grade 11, the semester builds on these foundations with advanced writing such as research papers, persuasive texts, and critical analysis, alongside mathematics topics like functions and data analysis, and science courses that emphasize precision in lab based inquiry. Beyond academics, international students benefit from immersion in Canadian classroom culture, bilingual learning (English and French).
