About

Whether you’ve been dancing since you were a kid, or you’ve never been inside a dance studio, we offer classes for all levels of ability! Lane’s dance classes are designed for both the dance major and the dance enthusiast, so whether you’re taking classes to fulfill your degree requirements or just for fun, there’s a place for you. Our dance classes develop you physically, emotionally, and academically. We offer courses of all levels to help you grow and expand your technique. Geared toward both the transfer student and those seeking personal enrichment, our subjects include contemporary, ballet, somatics, and theory. If you're new to dance or movement, we recommend starting with our Dance Basics class. To complement your dance practice, consider incorporating Pilates, Meditation in Motion, or Fluid Yoga into your routine. If you have at least two years of recent training in ballet, contemporary, or jazz dance, or have significant experience in athletics, cheerleading, or dance team, you're well-suited for our Dance 2 level. During the first week of class, our instructors will assess your skill level to ensure proper placement. If you have any concerns about your placement, please feel free to discuss them directly with your instructor. No auditions are required for class enrollment. Simply choose the class that best aligns with your experience level and join us. Lane’s dance classes offer various performance opportunities throughout the year. Student dance concerts, end of term showcases, and more! We teach our students to be dynamic, collaborative and professional level dancers.
