Our BA Honours Education Studies degree goes beyond just teaching and learning, preparing you for a range of careers in the education sector and beyond. Our degree is taught by expert tutors with extensive experience working in educational settings and explores how education defines the world around us.You will also have the opportunity to conduct an independent research project, and have a choice of modules to complement your learning including counselling in education, children’s rights, education and the law, and children’s literature. BA (Hons) Education Studies will give you a detailed understanding of the principles of education, and its systems and structures. You will critically explore all phases of education, from a range of historical, philosophical, sociological and psychological perspectives

Career routes for graduates may include policy, leadership and management roles in education, teaching assistant and teaching roles in local schools, Education Policy Analyst, Learning Support Coordinator, Curriculum Developer, Educational Psychologist Assistant,Adult Education Instructor, Community Education Officer, Education Administrator, Training and Development Specialist, learning support officers and a wide range of Special Education Needs roles.
Students may work part time for up to 20 hours per week and full time during academic breaks. After graduation, students can transition from student status to legal employment through an employer sponsored two year work permit.

Middlesex University Dubai will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, evidence of English study within a 12 year education system where English is designated as the primary and official language and the principal language of instruction. For applicants who do not yet meet the English language requirement, there are two pathways to achieve the necessary level:
Pre sessional English Programme; Students may successfully complete a preparatory English programme offered by the university before beginning their academic course. Recognized English Proficiency Tests; Students may submit one of the following minimum scores prior to the start of their program: IELTS: 6.5 overall band score (or equivalent), TOEFL or PTE: Score of 60, Duolingo English Test: Score of 120.
