The technology management major
is specifically designed for students who earned technically-oriented Associate
of Applied Science degrees and for those with national certifications or exams
and two years of directly related work experience. As a technology management
major, you’ll be awarded up to 34 credit hours for technical coursework with
the technology management option. Understand the fundamental concepts required
including mathematics, physical sciences, technology, and management. Gain
specialized knowledge in elective areas of your choice of construction,
electrical systems, mechanical systems, manufacturing, networking, facilities,
and computer graphics. Prepare for technical management roles. Technology
management is a field of study designed to prepare technical and/or
management-oriented professionals for employment in business, industry,
education, and government. Technology management is primarily involved with the
management, operation, and maintenance of complex technological systems, while
engineering and engineering technology are primarily involved with the design
and installation of these systems. Obtain more specialized knowledge in
elective areas of the students choosing- including construction, electrical
systems, mechanical systems, manufacturing, networking, facilities and computer
graphics.
