The accounting program at Lane can help prepare you to transfer to a four year institution to work toward a career in accounting. Once enrolled, you’ll work with your advisor to build a degree plan specific to your goals. Lane’s accounting program will prepare you to be an indispensable and discerning asset in your future career. Whether you’re looking to transfer to a four year institution, or directly enter the workplace, Lane will prepare you to reach your goals with individualized advising and small classes with instructors who are personally invested in your success. With the option to take your classes online or in person, you’ll have the flexibility to complete your degree the way that works best for you. What you'll learn; Apply theory, research, critical thinking, and innovative problem solving. Organize and manage the daily business functions of an organization. Understand professional ethics, compliance requirements, and legal standards. Use word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Prepare accounting statements and reports. Plan, budget, and evaluate financial performance. The two-year Associate of Science Oregon Transfer (ASOT) degree you’ll earn will be a stepping stone to a four year program. While at Lane, you’ll work with your advisor to develop a transfer plan to your future 4-year institution. You’ll be able to start with junior status at any Oregon public school. You can also take advantage of our articulation agreement which allows you to directly transfer to Bushnell University.

English Language Requirement

Lane Community College will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit 

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
