Bachelor (Hons) of Traditional Chinese Medicines

This programme is led by highly qualified TCM practitioners from Malaysia and China, providing students with a strong foundation in TCM clinical practices and treatments. The programme is highly adaptable, equipping students with many hours of practical training.  This degree equips practitioners with the knowledge and professional competencies required for a career in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and herb dispensing. Building a solid, broad understanding of biomedicine and various health science fields in this way will give you a deeper understanding of TCM and help you to work in interdisciplinary teams and centres and assist you in advising clients on treatment options.  Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an ancient medical practice rooted in thousands of years of Chinese tradition. It focuses on achieving balance in the body to promote health and prevent illness, integrating natural remedies and holistic therapies.

Career Path

With the passing of the Traditional & Complementary Medicine Act, the profession will be regulated by the Ministry Of Health. Graduates can choose the following pathways: Apply to work with the Ministry of Health. Apply to work as a Practitioner; Set up their own TCM clinics, Enter into the academic line with research, Enter into the Chinese pharmaceutical industry, Health Consultant.

English Language Requirement

INTI International University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit 

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
