The engineering technology electrical and automation system degree emphasizes the application of engineering techniques to real-world problems. You’ll work in the job spectrum between an engineer and skilled technician, with responsibilities closest to that of the engineer. As an electrical and automation system option in the engineering technology major, you’ll focus on the electrical power and control systems. Study motors, generators, complex power, three-phase systems and transmission concepts.
