This
programme investigates the structure of learning within our education systems
and challenges thinking about how learning takes place in schools and colleges.
The programme is designed for those who are interested in exploring ways of
developing high quality teaching and learning where students are empowered to
take responsibility for their learning. Pedagogical issues will be examined and
critically assessed from a theoretical and practical perspective. Students will
carry out a research project on one area of educational practice, the outcomes
of which will be disseminated and have an impact on evidence-based approaches
to learning.
