Welcome to the Associate of Science Degree (Early Childhood Education) - Transfer

An Associate in Science in Early Childhood Education for Transfer (AS-T) from Skyline College is intended for students who are interested in transferring to a California State University (CSU) campus with a major in Early Childhood Education, or similar major. The Skyline College Associate in Science degree with a major in (AS-T) Early Childhood Education will expose students to the core principles and practices in the field of Early Childhood Education. Our degree meets the needs of students interested in transferring to a four-year college or university in the major of Early Childhood Education as a means of integrating this knowledge into their chosen profession. Students will learn about the development of children from birth through age eight as well as how to provide a safe and stimulating environment that respects each child's family and culture. Students are highly encouraged to gain practical experience in a child development program while pursuing this degree to apply theory and knowledge.

English Language Requirement

Skyline College will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.

If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
