This process involves learning the skills of how to educate, assess, research, plan, advocate, develop, and implement activities and programs designed for long term improvement of health outcomes. Lane’s Public Health Education and Promotion transfer interest area is interdisciplinary and integrates social and biological sciences which ensure health outcomes are seen through the lens of complex interacting systems. To understand the dynamic interacting dimensions of human well-being, we must study and understand how the physical, social, intellectual, emotional, environmental, and occupational aspects of our lives work together to create our current state of health. What you'll learn; Health behavior science, Critical thinking and analysis, Health literacy, Self and Community Awareness, Health equity; Social and Individual determinants, Effective and culturally appropriate communication, Health assessment and planning, and Scientific methods and research evaluation.
