The Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at Saint Louis University consists of three pathways. The exercise and wellness concentration is for students who seek careers as an exercise physiologist, medical scientist, personal trainer, health and wellness coordinator, wellness coach or recreation specialist. This exercise and wellness concentration of the Exercise Science, B.S. is available at Saint Louis. SLU also offers the Exercise Science, B.S., with concentrations in athletic training or physical therapy. These concentrations are for students who wish to pursue direct entry toward a Master of Athletic Training. SLU's athletic training program is the standard of excellence within the field, boasting an outstanding pass rate on the Board of Certification (BOC) exam and excellent job placement rates. SLU students and faculty are engaged regularly in the profession, receiving honors at the national and international levels. SLU's program has a proven track record of global engagement. The athletic program has a curricular track in which students can attend Saint Louis University-Madrid for up to four semesters; an international clinical exchange program with universities in Spain and Ireland; and the program is an institutional member of the World Federation of Athletic Training and Therapy (WFATT). SLU's athletic training students participate in clinical experiences each semester, and the diversity of clinical sites is a hallmark of the program. In addition to Saint Louis University’s athletic teams, eight other St. Louis-area universities and over 20 high schools serve as clinical sites for the program. An immersive clinical experience takes place over the second summer of the professional phase that allows students to explore unique clinical opportunities anywhere in the United States.

English Language Requirement

Saint Louis University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit 

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
