The Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education (Social Science with History Option) is a specialized degree designed for individuals passionate about teaching history, civics, geography, and economics to students in grades 4 through 9. This program blends foundational coursework in education theory, adolescent development, and classroom management with deep content knowledge in historical and social sciences. Students explore topics such as U.S. history, world civilizations, government systems, and cultural geography, while learning how to design engaging, standards-based lessons that promote critical thinking and civic awareness. English Language Requirement

Concordia University Chicago will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit 

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
