Do you want to learn how to improve the lives of people at work? Do you want to combine your interest in business with your interest in psychology? Interested in making jobs more satisfying, workers more productive, and training leaders to treat employees fairly? Industrial and Organizational Psychology (IO Psychology) is the psychology of the workplace and employee behaviors. Learn how to hire and train effectively by applying evidence-based practices to organizational challenges. MTSU is one of only a few universities across the nation to offer this degree. The Industrial-Organizational Psychology degree is designed to (a) prepare students for entry-level positions in human resources departments and (b) provide a background for students wishing to pursue graduate work in industrial-organizational psychology or related fields. Students can get hands-on work experience through internships or the opportunity to work with our on-campus consulting firm, the Center for Organizational Human Resource Effectiveness (COHRE).

English Language Requirement

Middle Tennessee State University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
