The Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Transfer Program (2+2) offers students the opportunity to begin their studies at Cape Breton University (CBU) and complete their degree at Dalhousie University. In this pathway, students spend their first two years at CBU, gaining a strong foundation in mathematics, chemistry, physics, and engineering principles while benefiting from small class sizes, personalized instruction, and hands on laboratory experiences. After completing the initial two years, they transfer to Dalhousie University to finish the final two years of the program, accessing advanced facilities, specialized courses, and industry focused research opportunities. This collaborative program ensures graduates develop both technical expertise and practical skills required to excel in chemical engineering, combining CBU’s supportive learning environment with Dalhousie’s world class engineering education. Students are prepared for careers in petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, energy systems, materials science, environmental engineering, and biotechnology, emerging with a competitive edge and the ability to contribute to innovation, sustainability, and leadership across diverse global industries.
