Welcome to the BSc. Financial Econometrics

Financial econometrics majors have a wide range of options before them upon graduation. You'll be prepared to help institutions from academia to finance to investment firms make informed decisions with financial data and financial markets.  As a financial econometrics major at Southeast, you’ll start your journey toward a career in quantitative analysis, risk analyst, financial consultant, and more. Your coursework and experiential learning experiences will prepare you with problem-solving skills employers seek. You’ll also: Learn to forecast financial markets and develop statistical models to predict prices. Design risk management strategies. Conduct empirical research on financial topics. Analyze the factors that influence financial market volatility.

Financial econometrics is a growing field with many opportunities for employment. Financial econometricians can work in a variety of settings, including investment banks, hedge funds, consulting firms, and government agencies. English Language Requirement

Southeast Missouri State University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.

If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
