Bachelor of Arts - Directing

Webster University’s Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts trains our future colleagues to become visionaries, creators, and leaders in the next generation of theatre professionals. Webster University's directing program is designed to educate student directors in the craft of stage direction, focusing on play analysis, visual storytelling, team collaboration and creative thinking. Directing students at Webster are exposed to a wide variety of coursework both in the department and across the campus. Classes in theatre include Voice, Movement and Acting, Visual History, Fundamentals of Design, Lighting Design, History of Theatre, Stage Management and Directing. In the senior year of study, students spend the fall semester abroad.

English Language Requirement

Webster University St. Louis, Missouri will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit 

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
