Welcome to the Associate in Arts Degree (Computer Animation)

The Animation Associate of Applied Science program focuses on real-world production processes. You’ll be guided through the entire production pipeline using the same hardware and software found in professional animation studios. From creating eye-catching characters in film and television to developing engaging educational training courses in the corporate world, computer animation is found in a wide range of industries.
Students are introduced to a variety of modeling tools, the capabilities of each tool, and the results of interactions between tools. Students will develop techniques and strategies for efficiently creating virtual models for animation, film, and games.
Students will develop an eye for texturing and lighting modeled objects and scenes that parallel the real world. This course builds on the concepts established in previous courses, including surface lighting and shadow observations and techniques.
