An
environmental science degree is an inter-departmental,
interdisciplinary degree with a diverse, hybrid field of study based on strong
training in the natural sciences, mathematics, law, economics, and health.
The curriculum includes science-intensive, interdisciplinary coursework. It prepares you to
work in the environmental field, in emergency preparedness, or continue to
graduate school. Immerse
yourself in coursework that provides a foundation to address environmental
issues of today and the future. Gain hands-on experience with a
required internship or research that addresses real-world challenges. Become a
leader in efforts to develop a sustainable society. The environmental science curriculum includes
coursework to prepare you to study and solve environmental problems. Students
are required to take two Environmental Science seminars. These seminars assist
the students in integrating the science courses with application toward
environmental issues.
Career Path
Your grounding in maths, physics,
chemistry and biology will provide you with opportunities to work in a range of
fields. Typical professions our graduates go on to include: Scientific
research; Atmospheric science; Public policy; Environmental consultancy and
earth resources; Teaching.
