function. Whether entering from high school, other post-secondary institutions
or returning from the workforce to study, this program will appeal to anyone
who shares a concern for the future of humanity and the welfare of our planet
and who is seeking a career that can make a difference. Students who are
successful in this program are likely to be self-motivated, have a strong work
ethic and have well developed oral and written communication skills.With a
degree in biology you will be ready to make a positive contribution in your
community that has global relevance. Our multidisciplinary and hands on
learning approach will help you gain skills ranging from gene editing to
understanding ecosystems and climate change.
Career Path
The multidisciplinary KPU Biology
program provides students with the knowledge and hands on skill development in
order to be successful in gaining employment or to continue their education
into fields such as: medicine, biotechnology, computational biology,
neuroscience, amongst many others. Moreover, the BC College of Applied Biology
has accredited the KPU B.Sc. in Biology program which will fast track our
graduates to immediately become Biologist in Training right after graduation or
Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio) with more than three years of work
experience.
Kwantlen Polytechnic University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit
