Additionally, the wider socio-cultural influences on SEND provision, including the influence of cultural and historical context will be explored.Students will have the option to apply selected leadership and management strategies to their own professional practice and to an improvement project in the environment within which they operate.
Students will develop an understanding of local and international SEND provision, strategy and policy. As part of this programme, the student will develop an understanding of research and evidence in SEND practice, policy, and implementation. Students will be encouraged to develop leadership and management skills related to SEND coordination, delivery, partnership and management.
