Pre-Health
Sciences Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas is a one-year program that will
prepare you for admission to a variety of Health Sciences certificate and
diploma programs, including our Practical Nursing (S121) program. You’ll take
courses in biology, chemistry, applied math, communications, career readiness
preparation and general electives. You’ll also benefit from the support of a
pathway specialist who will help you navigate college and create a realistic
action plan for the next steps in your education. The Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to
Certificates and Diplomas (A109) is a one-year certificate program that will
lay the groundwork for your future success in a variety of Health Sciences
programs. We’ll set you up with a foundation in core mathematics and science,
and give you valuable insights into the health-care industry. Learn more about

options at post-secondary institutions, including these programs at George
Brown: Practical Nursing,Dental Assisting, Orthotics/Prosthetics, Medical
Office Administration, Recreation Management in Gerontology. Today’s healthcare
employers are looking for skilled workers to address a critical labour
shortage. This program will give you the practical training, confidence, and
communication skills you need to thrive in this dynamic field. Examine fundamental biological concepts, processes and
systems of the human body, including the structure, function and properties of
the molecules of life, cells, tissues and organ systems in relation to
homeostasis and health.

George Brown College will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit
