Bachelor of Science - Mathematics

The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics provides a strong general mathematics background while still allowing students to create a program tailored to their interests. This is extremely useful for students pursuing careers in teaching or in the actuarial profession. Because the BA in Mathematics degree offers more free electives, students who are interested in another field of study are able to pursue a second major. A BS in Mathematics provides broad knowledge of mathematics topics with depth in certain areas, while a BSc. in Mathematics provides a solid mathematics core within a flexible curriculum. The BSc. Mathematics curriculum emphasizes computing and mathematical modeling because these two areas give our students a competitive advantage

 

Career Path

BSc in Mathematics as a route into the workforce, where you could meet our alumni working in traditional jobs such as teaching, actuarial work, and accounting, as well as IT, pharmaceutical research, engineering and more. Alternatively, you may choose to expand your career options to include a range of related areas by completing postgraduate studies in sciences, computing or engineering.

English Language Requirement

Webster University St. Louis, Missouri will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit 

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
