Welcome to the Associate Degree Business (Human Resources Management)

The Associate Degree in Human Resources is a 4-semester program of study that includes 24 credit hours of college-level general education courses rounded out by electives and subject matter essential to effective personnel management. Specifically known as an Associate of Science Degree in Human Resource Administration, the program introduces students to core business administration theories and techniques, ethics, and employment law, as well as to the human relations aspects of employee recruitment, management, training, and more.
Students learn to develop strategic HR policies, carry out critical HR and leadership functions, handle various administrative tasks and administer employee benefits. The curriculum comprises general education and major-specific coursework, emphasizing the practical applications of fundamental HR concepts and principles, along with core business administration theories, ethics and techniques.

English Language Requirement

College of the Canyons will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.
If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
