Welcome to the Associate of Arts Degree (Elementary Teacher Education) - Transfer

An Associate in Arts in Elementary Teacher Education for Transfer (AA-T) from Skyline College is intended for students who are interested in transferring to a California State University (CSU) campus with a major in Early Childhood Education, or similar major. The Elementary Teacher Education (AA-T) acknowledges that the student has established a foundation of interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of Education. The Skyline College Associate in Arts in Elementary Teacher Education for Transfer is designed to meet the introductory content area subject matter requirements for teaching at the elementary school level. Aside from "Introduction to Elementary Education" and "Child Development," the majority of courses within this degree are general education courses necessary for teaching Transitional kindergarten to 5th grade curriculum.

Skyline College will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.

If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
