A
Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Art Therapy is a unique interdisciplinary degree that
bridges the expressive power of art with the science of psychology. Designed
for students who aspire to become licensed art therapists or pursue careers in
creative human services, this program offers a rich foundation in both studio
art and behavioral science. It’s ideal for individuals who are passionate about
using visual creativity to support emotional healing, personal growth, and
community well-being. Students in this program explore a wide range of artistic
media such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and digital
design—while simultaneously studying psychological principles like human
development, abnormal behavior, and counseling techniques. This dual focus
prepares graduates to understand the emotional and cognitive needs of diverse
populations and equips them with the tools to communicate through both verbal
and non-verbal means.
