The Computer Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) Program provides students with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in computer-aided design and drafting careers. Students engage in hands-on projects, creating both digital and physical models while mastering industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools. Co-operative Education: Gain practical, paid work experience with the Co-operative Education option. Students can complete one full-time, 4-month work term during their diploma program, alternating academic study with real-world application. Computer lab access will be available on the Cloverdale campus for all CADD classes. For students wishing to use their own computers, the requirements below are needed to remotely access CADD software and to access the online Learning Management System. Architectural CADD/Drafting graduates create 3D models and 2D drawings for residential, commercial and government buildings. They may pursue an entry level position in a variety of employment situations such as an Architectural design office, a manufacturing company of prefabricated buildings or trusses, a construction company, a kitchen/cabinet design company, a municipal office, or a company that specializes in single and multi-family residential plans.

Students can work part time for up to 20 hours per week and full time during academic breaks. After graduation, students from an eligible Designated Learning Institution may apply for work permit up to three years, depending on the length of study and program eligibility.

Kwantlen Polytechnic University accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, evidence of English study within a 12 year education system where English is designated as the primary and official language and the principal language of instruction. For applicants who do not yet meet the English language requirement, there are two pathways to achieve the necessary level:
Pre sessional English Programme; Students may successfully complete a preparatory English programme offered by the university before beginning their academic course. Recognized English Proficiency Tests; Students may submit one of the following minimum scores prior to the start of their program: IELTS: 6.5 overall band score (or equivalent), TOEFL or PTE: Score of 60, Duolingo English Test: Score of 120.
