The Accelerated
Bachelor-to-Master's (ABM) program allows a student to earn a Public Health,
B.S. and a Public Health, M.P.H. in as little as five (5) years. High-achieving
students majoring in Public Health who intend to pursue a master's degree in
Public Health may apply to participate in the Accelerated Bachelor/Master's
(ABM) pathway. The pathway allows undergraduate students an opportunity to
complete select requirements for both the Bachelor's and Master's degrees
simultaneously. Upon successful completion of the B.S. portion of the ABM pathway,
students must submit an application (including the application fee) to the
graduate program. Additional application requirements for the M.P.H. will be
waived, and the student will be admitted to the program automatically. Successful
applicants will have a GPA of at least 3.25, have at least two semesters
remaining in the B.S. program, and submit a cover letter along with three
letters of recommendation. The following undergraduate courses will be replaced
with their graduate equivalents in the student's B.S. program of study: HLTH
4270: Bioethical Issues; HLTH 4450: Technology Applications; HLTH 3260:
Environmental Health; HLTH 4430: Program Planning.

find employment on the federal, state, county, or local government levels.
Examples of professions graduates might pursue include Health education
specialist, Health promotion specialist, Lifestyle coach, Policy advisor, Program
analyst, Program evaluator, Program planner, Project coordinator, Teacher.
Middle Tennessee State University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction.
