The
B.A. in Psychology emphasizes the fundamental principles of Psychology that can
be applied to solve practical problems related to human behavior and society.
You’ll gain a broad education in Psychology that is relevant to many fields,
including counseling and therapy, social work, education, physical health and
wellness, marketing and sales, law and forensics, environmental sustainability,
and human resources. The field of
psychology is incredibly diverse, encompassing all topics related to the
scientific study of behaviour and mental processes. Psychologists and their
work can be classified into three general categories: research psychologists,
applied psychologists and clinical/counselling psychologists. Our Department of
Psychology is notable for the breadth of training opportunities we provide to
undergraduate students. Students in the psychology program will develop general
education in the social sciences as well as specialized training.
