provides the theoretical and practical foundations for cybersecurity systems.
Professionals work to develop secure systems, defend against cyber threats, and
stay abreast of evolving technologies and tactics used by malicious threats.
This new program includes curriculum to explore the unique intersection of
database management systems, network security, and web technologies.
Career Path
The Computer Science Department
strives to produce graduates with strong problem-solving, communication and
team skills who are able to design, implement and document computer software
systems. Graduates who study cybersecurity systems often pursue careers in the
following areas: Cybersecurity Analyst, Network Security Engineer, Security
Consultant, Security Software Developer, Security Architect, Information
Security Manager, Security Compliance Analyst, Forensic Computer Analyst, Security
Awareness Trainer, Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst, Vulnerability
Assessor.
