Welcome to the BA. Arts Administration

The Arts Administration major at Bethany Lutheran College focuses on developing skills in both the arts and business to help students support and produce artistic endeavors. This program provides students with a wide range of subjects, including a liberal arts education that teaches collaboration and critical thinking. Students who complete this program can work in non-profit businesses, especially those that focus on producing the arts.
The program focuses on five learning outcomes. Understand the Arts – Students will gain an understanding of various artistic genres and key artists, composers, and/or playwrights. Writing – Learn how to write professional communications, including grant writing, fund-raising appeals, and program notes. Communication – Students learn to communicate effectively in order to productively create, maintain, and transform relationships. Business – Students will gain knowledge of management, marketing, administration and finance. Create – Gain an understanding of and empathy for those participating in and creating an art form.
