About

Bachelor of Arts in Biology offers a broad and adaptable approach to studying life sciences, ideal for students who want to combine scientific inquiry with interests in the humanities, education, communication, or public policy. The BA version provides greater curricular flexibility—allowing students to explore biology alongside disciplines like psychology, sociology, environmental studies, or business. This interdisciplinary structure makes it especially appealing for those pursuing careers in teaching, science writing, public health, or nonprofit advocacy. Students gain a solid foundation in core biological concepts such as genetics, ecology, evolution, and physiology, while also developing critical thinking, research, and communication skills. Many programs include coursework in bioethics, environmental policy, and science communication, helping students understand the societal impact of biological discoveries.
