Welcome to the Diploma Radiology and Imaging Technology

This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to become a highly qualified, competent and confident professional diagnostic radiographer. Diagnostic radiography is a combination of medical science, technology and patient care that plays a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. In diagnostic radiography, different imaging techniques and sophisticated technologies are used to produce high quality images to aid diagnosis for injury or disease. This is conducted as part of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team. After the completion of this degree programme, there are opportunities for specialisation into many areas of diagnostic radiography. These areas include Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanning among others. There is also the opportunity to go into clinical tutorship, academia and private radiography practice
