UDIT is the first and only University specialising in Design, Innovation and Technology in Spain. It represents the culmination of more than 20 years of the educational project of the prestigious ESNE University School of Design. We are a private university based in Madrid. Our campus has more than 21,000 square metresdistributed in three buildings. We have more than 3,000 students who live their passion for design and technology in all possible specialities in our classrooms and facilities. In the academic year 2024 2025 our institution grew with a new and spectacular Campus dedicated to welcome all the students of the degrees of theareas of Technology, Innovation and Applied Sciences of the University. Our students and the University have been awarded nationally and internationally with more than 400 prizes, including the National Design Award, presented in 2020 by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain, and the Education and Training Award, granted by the Community of Madrid in 2025, at the Madrid Open Cities Awards.
UDIT exists to create and deliver transformative experiences for its students, preparing them to succeed in their professional lives in a globally competitive environment. With a unique approach based on educational excellence, rigour, connection with industry, the closeness of the professors and an intensive use of technology in all its forms, we prepare our students for a professional environment in constant change and evolution. More than 3,000 students enrol every year in the different programmes that cover the three main levels of higher education: CFGS, Graduate and Postgraduate. All our programmes have a global focus and practical application and are aligned and connected to the industries and the changing world of creative professions through constant collaboration with experts, companies and institutions.
UDIT has a state of the art Fab Lab, where students transform their ideas into real prototypes using advanced digital manufacturing technology. It is part of the international network of Fab Labs endorsed by M.I.T. UDIT has had a state of the art digital manufacturing and research laboratory since October 2016 . This project was born from the need to transform the creativity of our students into real projects. Thanks to these facilities, UDIT students will be able to prototype their designs, investigate the use of materials and produce real objects. It is equipped with digital fabrication equipment and machinery such as 3D and sintering printers, a thermoforming machine, a laser cutter, an oscilloscope, a digital embroidery/knitting machine, electronic welding kits, a CNC digital machining centre, design computers and the revolutionary Japanese virtual design technology Shima Seiki.
