The Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication is an interdisciplinary program that will develop your knowledge of media, cultural studies and business alongside theoretical and practical skills. The communication methods learnt and media training students get throughout this course are relevant to careers in professional writing, journalism, public relations, communications, and advertising. Graduates of the BABC program will be able to: Use communication theories to assess basic issues in cultural contexts. Critique communication media influence on audience perceptions of issues, events, products and services. Evaluate the effectiveness and integration of all types of media and communications. Demonstrate communication oriented research and information seeking strategies. Create ethically and legally sound content for a variety of forms of media and markets. Integrate media and content to communicate persuasively to specific audiences.

University Canada West will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, evidence of English study within a 12 year education system where English is designated as the primary and official language and the principal language of instruction. For applicants who do not yet meet the English language requirement, there are two pathways to achieve the necessary level:
Pre sessional English Programme; Students may successfully complete a preparatory English programme offered by the university before beginning their academic course. Recognized English Proficiency Tests; Students may submit one of the following minimum scores prior to the start of their program: IELTS: 6.5 overall band score (or equivalent), TOEFL or PTE: Score of 60, Duolingo English Test: Score of 120.
