Students may select from any courses for which the prerequisites can be met, and can construct their academic path with complete freedom to explore a specific theme or a wide variety of unrelated courses. General Studies allows you to build a highly personalized education plan. Through an Associate of Arts degree, a Diploma, or a Bachelor of Arts degree, General Studies students will seek opportunities that match their interests and create a unique academic path that suits their goals. General Studies is the most flexible area of study at KPU, as it allows students to take courses from a variety of disciplines. Working with an Arts Degree Advisor, you can create a personal program of study that helps you reach specific career and personal goals, intentionally developing a broad interdisciplinary liberal arts education. Kwantlen Polytechnic University accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, evidence of English study within a 12 year education system where English is designated as the primary and official language and the principal language of instruction. For applicants who do not yet meet the English language requirement, there are two pathways to achieve the necessary level:
Pre sessional English Programme; Students may successfully complete a preparatory English programme offered by the university before beginning their academic course. Recognized English Proficiency Tests; Students may submit one of the following minimum scores prior to the start of their program: IELTS: 6.5 overall band score (or equivalent), TOEFL or PTE: Score of 60, Duolingo English Test: Score of 120.
