Begin your study of languages at Lane Community College and transfer to earn your four year degree with the Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree. While fulfilling many general education course requirements for your bachelor's degree, learning a new language and culture. Choose from: American Sign Language (ASL), Chinuk Wawa, French, and Spanish. What you'll learn; Analytical skills, Diversity and cultural awareness, Communication and interpersonal skills, Critical thinking skills, Abstract reasoning and creative problem-solving. An Associate of Arts, Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree will provide you with credits that will transfer to leading four year institutions for more in-depth study. The AAOT offers you the flexibility to choose courses that interest you while meeting university lower division general education requirements. And all with small classrooms, dedicate instructors, and affordable tuition. Lane’s provides a broad foundation in the study of languages, their structures, and their roles in human communication and culture. English Language Requirement

Lane Community College will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit 

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
