Welcome to the Associate Degree Graphic and Multimedia Design

The Graphic Design associate degree program prepares students for entry-level positions in visual media production environments. The program fosters creativity, marketing, and design with technical agility. Our coursework allows students to generate a wide-range of portfolio-ready projects for print, screen, or web. From day one, students will begin the practice of design principles and design thinking. Their visual acuity will grow through the use of digital cameras, Adobe tools, and web content management systems.
The Graphic and Multimedia Design program at College of the Canyons provides an encouraging but challenging comprehensive learning environment‚ which contributes technically and conceptually to the development of the artist. The program provides personalized attention and a stimulating discourse that guides students through the creative process leading to divergent thinking and professional outcomes.

Admission Requirements

English Language Requirement

College of the Canyons will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.
If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
