Welcome to the BSc. (Hons) Coaching Education

The BSc (Hons) Coaching Education degree at Near East  University aims to develop critical individuals who appreciate the social, relational and dynamic nature of sport coaching. In doing so, the course will challenge you through a variety of learning activities, including seminars, practical coaching sessions, and work related opportunities. The purpose is to move beyond the technical and tactical content of coaching in order to explore how coaches shape the learning and development of others. As such, the indicative content includes practice design, power, care, identity, ethics and micro-politics.
On this course, you will develop the skills to prepare you for a range of potential careers in sport coaching, whether in performance or participation-focused roles. You will learn the behaviours expected and needed for working in schools, sport governing bodies, and professional or commercial sport and physical activity settings.
The course is designed to help you demonstrate your learning outcomes – with authentic assessment activities relating to real-world scenarios, your specific goals and your skills development. Throughout your studies, various individuals will support your learning and target setting – guiding you towards resources for academic, professional and personal development.

English Language Requirement

Near East University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.
If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
