Push yourself, into the performance spotlight or behind the scenes. You’ll develop into an accomplished director, actor, set designer, stage lighter—through the challenging yet rewarding Theatre Arts course options. Our curriculum is a training ground for you to thrive in the many facets that modern theatre and live performance take on today.Our BA in theatre liberal arts degree that takes a broad-based approach to theatre education. The degree provides training and knowledge across disciplines and is an excellent background to enter graduate school or pursue work in various capacities of theatre or related areas.. Backstage and onstage opportunities in four mainstage theatre productions, one mainstage dance concert, two second stage theatre productions, and one second stage dance concert, as well as a host of one-acts, readings, cabarets, improve shows, and so on. In theatre studies, our program promotes a strong focus on the theory and practice of dramatic compositions. Through our courses we emphasize the relationship between performance, literary-text and historical contexts.

English Language Requirement

Southeast Missouri State University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.

If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit
