Welcome to the PhD. Animal Nutrition and Nutritional Disease

Doctorate (PhD) – Animal Nutrition and Nutritional Disease provide analysis of nutrients and anti-nutritional factors in feedstuff in laboratory and determination of the daily amount of feedstuffs in accordance with the nutritional requirements and feed characteristics in animal nutrition. It also includes the parameters for feedstuffs availability in terms of energy, protein
and other nutrients according to animal species. Also processing of feedstuffs
and compound feed technology, introduction of feed materials used in animal nutrition, nutritional disorders and prevention, nutrition of monogastric animals in different physiological periods, nutrition of poultry such as chicken, turkey, duck etc, nutrition of pet animals (dog, cat etc.) and laboratory animals (mice, rat etc.) in all physiological periods, feed additives (performance promoters, preservatives etc.) that used in ration formulation, their usage doses and importance in diets.
Post-PhD careers might include research on a funded project, lecturing in animal nutrition, researching animal management for a feed additive company or product management for an international breeding firm.
At the Department of Animal Nutrition and Nutritional Diseases, the undergraduate courses such as Feed Hygiene and Technology, Agronomy, Feed Additive Agents, Feed Legislation and Animal Nutrition and Nutritional Diseases are given both in a theoretical and practical way.

English Language Requirement

Near East University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.
If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
