The WashU Law LL.M. in Taxation program offers comprehensive and specialized training for both U.S. and internationally trained lawyers and law school graduates seeking to master the intricate field of tax law. Designed to provide detailed insight into the procedural, technical, and practical aspects of taxation, the curriculum equips graduates with the tools needed to solve complex tax problems and adapt to ever-changing legislation. Students learn from a nationally recognized faculty of passionate scholars and seasoned tax professionals, gaining expertise applicable across public, private, and non-profit sectors, including corporate tax, estate planning, and international tax. Students in the program will gain a comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local tax law and will graduate prepared to assist individuals and organizations in all major areas of tax, such as estate planning, employee benefits, and corporate taxation.

English Language Requirement

Washington University School of Law will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit 

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
