Welcome to the MSc. Toxicology

The MSc Toxicology programme provides training in theoretical, clinical and laboratory aspects of toxicology and acts as a conversion course, taking students from a variety of backgrounds and giving them new skills to enable them to move into research and employment in the field of toxicology and related disciplines.
Monitoring and evaluating the current literatüre, conduct of the scientific activities will be basis of the work related to the thesis. Sampling for toxicological analysis, extraction of xenobiotics from biological samples, determining qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques, principles of analytical toxicological methods, validation of findings, and the discussion of laboratory results in terms of toxicological considerations will be given to the attendants.
Definiton of disaster and its risk factors and classification; evaluation of the effects of disaster on health and environment from a toxicological aspect; quantitative and qualitative analysis of disaster factors and biomarker usage for determination of these factors; toxicological assessment of important disaster cases in Turkey and in the world.
Historical development of human environmentrelations, distribution and fate of chemicals in the environment, their toxic potentials, epidemiological findings, biomagnification and toxicokinetics of xenobiotics in the environment.

English Language Requirement

Near East University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.
If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
