Welcome to the BA Honours Film

All BA (Honours) Film students at Middlesex University Dubai hone their practice and learn the latest filmmaking skills at MDX Studios, our on-campus film lab. MDX Studios operates a unique script-to-screen teaching philosophy, where students not only pitch, create, and distribute their own productions, but also gain the opportunity to work with real-life production houses of all sizes to bring unique stories to life. Our facilities allow you to familiarise yourself with equipment and learn a wide range of practical skills from pre-production to post-production.
During the film course you can expect to study the art of creative storytelling, using digital technologies to make documentary and fiction films and commercial projects.

You can specialise in specific areas of film making, screenwriting, producing, directing, cinematography, sound and editing, so you’ll gain specialist skills to launch your career. You’ll also make collaborative final films at the end of your third year. This will be your industry calling cards and the culmination of all your hard work.
Career Option
Graduates of this course have gone on to a wide range of careers, including writers, editors, sound technicians, directors of photography, camera assistants, directors and designers. Some have gone on to work at major institutions such as the BBC, while others have set up their own small businesses, attracting both commercial work and funded commissions
