Welcome to the MSc. Obstetrics and Gynecology (Veterinary)

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Near East University facilitates education and training in the following fields: reproduction physiologies and endocrinology in animals, pregnancy and pregnancy detection methods, pregnancy physiology and related problems, natural birth and birth supporting methods for animals, oestrus synchronisation and relative methods, embryo transfer, in-vitro fertilization and maturation, reproductive biotechnology and relative methods, puerperal period and relative problems, infertility and sterility, gynaecologic surgeries, breast health and breast diseases, milking and hygiene, and control programs for breast health.
As part of its undergraduate program, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology facilitates the following theoretical and practical modules: The Science of Birth, Gynaecology, Breast Health Programs for Milk Cows, and Alternative Treatments for Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The Clinic of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine provides service for pregnant animals and for the treatment and/or operation of all kinds of gynaecological diseases in pet animals. Neutering female cats and dogs and facilitating surgery for animal breast tumours are the two most significant services provided by this clinic. Moreover, the clinic provides all the necessary procedures for reproduction in; cows, lambs, goats and horses.

English Language Requirement

Near East University will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.
If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
