This is a highly focused business management degree, designed to develop resilient professionals able to proactively apply specialist knowledge, skills and capabilities in a diverse, global aviation industry.
The course focuses on management of the multifaceted aviation industry from day one. You will be encouraged to explore the complex inter-relationships that exist between various stakeholders, such as airlines, airport operators, regulators, representative bodies and industry suppliers, in what is a dynamic and challenging environment.
The course encourages individuals with an enthusiasm for commercial aviation to develop and expand their understanding and engagement of the sector. Our aim is to raise your aspirations for management and positions of leadership that could help shape the future of the industry. The course offers an opportunity for individuals from a broad range of subject interests, experiences and backgrounds to develop the knowledge, skills and capabilities commonly required to chart a successful career within the aviation industry.
The course brings together management and transport systems theory, economics, aerospace engineering, logistics, transport geography, regulation and safety. It aims to provide a progressive learning journey, culminating in a holistic appreciation of the complexities of the global aviation ecosystem. Our current expert course team offer academic expertise and practical industry experience with an aim to immerse you in applied learning; utilising simulation, practical activities and exposure to industry.

  • Within the first two years of this program, students are trained and educated by highly experienced subject specialists so that they become very well qualified and experienced at the highest possible level in their subjects. Besides, throughout the process of education and training, the Information and Innovation Systems Centre and all sort of technical and technological equipment of the Near East University, the sister university of KU, will be used respectively.
  • As we regard our students as the leaders of future in their fields, we aim to train them from the very beginning of their education as the individuals who take responsibility, make precise decisions, demonstrate leading roles and approach the issues with common sense and practicality.
  • Department of Aviation Management is a department open to developments and innovations. It aims to train and educate students in the best possible way with its well-planned four-year-based curriculum.

  • The demand for qualified staff in this branch is increasing gradually in accordance with the compliance procedures within the scope of European Union Laws.
  • Necessary conditions to graduate from the department:
  • The overall grade (CGPA) at the end of 4-year academic program must be at least 2.0 out of 4.0.
  • The student must take 136 credits in total.
  • The student must carry out 2 internship trainings, each for 20 working days a month, following the second and third years of education.

English Language Requirement

University of Kyrenia will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12 year education or English is designated as the primary and official language, and the principle language of instruction.
If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit  

  • English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
