Students pursuing the General LL.M. with a specialization in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution must complete a total of 24 academic credits for the LL.M. degree. Within these 24 credits, 15 credits must be completed within the Negotiation and Dispute Resolution curriculum. All students in this program are required to take Introduction to Negotiation and Dispute Resolution. The course is applicable for students who is interested in Business negotiation and contract arbitration, Multi-party dispute resolution, Family mediation, Employment mediation, Coalition building and lobbying, and Interviewing, counseling and negotiating in law office practice, including motions practice and settlement. NDR has grown exponentially over the past few decades and is currently the primary vehicle for legal dispute resolution in almost every legal practice area and in almost every country. WashU Law has an outstanding NDR program and offers an extensive alumni network.

English Language Requirement

Washington University School of Law will accept, for the purposes of meeting the English proficiency requirement, English taken in 12-year education, or English is designated as the primary and official language and the principle language of instruction. If you do not meet the English language requirements yet, you can achieve the level you need by successfully completing a pre-sessional English programme with the university or submit 

1. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 (or equivalent) or PTE Score or Duolingo English Test score before you start your course.
